What is Ceramic Coating? Ceramic coating is a protective barrier that chemically bonds to your vehicles paint becoming an extension of your existing clear coat. Buying a vehicle is the 2nd biggest investment/ purchase that you have made. After spending around 50,000 or more on a vehicle we watch it degrade more & more over time because we don’t feel like keeping up with it properly. So why drive it around unprotected from the elements? Elements such as bug splatters, UV damage, water spotting, etchings, tree sap, and more. System X blankets your vehicle in a hyper durable and hard layer of Silicon Dioxide (glass) that protects paint, glass, metal, stainless steel, trim, and your wheels. Think of this ceramic coating as adding another clear coat to your vehicles exterior. This clear coat is extremely hydrophobic, glossier, chemical resistant and harder than your existing clear coat. Traditional clear coat has a hardness between 2H and 4H. System X has a hardness of 9H+. Making Crystal & Max ceramic coating stronger than the factory clear coat that’s on your vehicle. An easy analogy would be like a winter jacket you put on your kids before they go out into the snow. Having a very durable ceramic coating if you scratch your coating is better than scratching your factory clear coat because then you can polish out your coating and reapply it in that one area.
Ceramic Coating Process:
First a pre-wash is performed to remove as much surface debris as possible without touching your paint. Once pre-wash is rinsed off a thorough hand wash of vehicle, tires, wheels and wheel wells. Removing all road grime and dirt. Hand dried using forced air and plush microfiber towels. Next entire vehcile recieves a clay bar treatment/ chemical decontamination to get rid of decontaminants on the surface that can't be seen by the naked eye. Then a paint enhancement is performed to level clear coat removing surface defects creating a flat bondable surface for your System X ceramic coating. After that, surface is prepped to ensure paint is stripped bare of any waxes or oils from the enhancement stage. This is CRUCIAL for the ceramic coating to have a strong bond to your vehicles clear coat. Lastly all painted surfaces and headlights ceramic coated for long term protection
